Good food. Good company.
Create an inviting identity for an independent noodle bar. It should feel at home on a corner awning, travel well on takeaway packaging and bring character to the table.
Who it’s for
Neighbours, regulars and friends looking for an easy place to gather over food.
The challenge
A restaurant identity has to be seen from across a street and enjoyed at arm’s length. It needs enough energy to be memorable without making menus or signage hard to read.
Build the identity around the rhythm of sharing. Repeated syllables become a rolling wordmark; rounded counters suggest bowls and the extended J creates a welcoming sweep. The brand feels animated even when printed in one colour.
Why JoonJoon?
JoonJoon is a playful fictional name selected for its repetition and spoken rhythm. The study does not assign it a cultural translation or claim a heritage.
Draw the name as one gesture
The outlined lettering has a shared rhythm rather than eight disconnected characters. Its long curves make a distinctive silhouette on an awning.
Two colours, many surfaces
Tomato red and cream work across fabric, paper, lacquer and ceramics. Plain supporting type keeps dish names easy to scan.
Hospitality in the small things
A chopstick sleeve, a folded menu and the edge of a bowl all carry the same identity. Food photography brings the system into a lived, social setting.
